Insights into studying and research at the university day
On April 23, 2026, the TUD Dresden University of Technology (TUD) opened its doors for the "A Day at the University" event as part of the "Girls'Day" and "Boys'Day" campaigns. Around 160 pupils took the opportunity to experience the campus up close, visit the cafeteria and gain their first impressions of everyday study and research life.
Diverse program for different interests
In addition to the joint opening lecture for all participants on the topic of "Studying at the TUD", the focus was on practical insights into current research.
The participating pupils from grade 5 onwards were able to choose from a wide range of workshops and thus explore numerous subject areas:

Die Workshops werden durch die Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler der TUD vorgestellt.
Girls' Day and Boys' Day as a building block for career and study orientation
Girls' and Boys' Day are an integral part of study orientation at the TUD and aim to break down gender stereotypes when choosing a career. While schoolgirls gain insights into STEM degree programs in a targeted manner, school pupils can get to know linguistic and humanities fields.
In 2026, there were also other offers at the TUD in addition to the "Day at the University".
Contact
"A Day at the University" was planned and implemented in collaboration with numerous TUD scientists.
