Admission requirements
Prerequisite for admission to the study course:
• university degree in Media Computer Science or a related study course,
• proof of special expertise in the areas of:
- at least: 20 LP (ECTS) in the area of the Media Computer Science and Design,
- at least 20 LP (ECTS) in the area of Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science and Computer Graphics,
- at least 20 LP (ECTS) in the field of practical computer science, technical computer science and software technology
and optionally an aptitude interview.

Aptitude assessment procedure
The participation in an aptitude assessment or selection procedure is a prerequisite for enrollment in this degree program. Please note that the deadline for submitting an application may be earlier than the application deadlines for the degree program (see above under application deadlines). The following links will provide you with information on all documents to be submitted within the specified deadline and on the relevant regulations.

International applicants and German applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification are kindly advised to read the requirements for German-language courses.
Notes on the application process
If, at the time of application, proof of the first degree qualifying the applicant for a profession is not yet available, the application will be considered under the precondition that 80% of the credit points attainable for the degree have already been achieved based on completed module examinations or the final thesis and the colloquium (if applicable). A certification from the awarding institute of higher education (examination office) serves as proof of the above-mentioned academic achievements. General information about the degree program
The aim of the programme is to learn to apply scientific and academic knowledge in the field of media and computer science. Graduates will be able to design and conduct integrative and interdisciplinary projects of multimedia-based areas of application in research and industry. Additionally, skills for occupations related to media technology, media production, media didactics and the development of multimediabased applications and systems will be obtained.
The course of studies includes the contents: communication systems and information systems; multimedia-based areas of application; interaction, presentation and visualisation solutions, threedimensional models and interdisciplinary research and information transfer.
Important general skills, e.g. competences in teamwork and presentations, are also part of the programme.
