Information on Training
Table of contents
TU Dresden offers training for various professions, generally as part of the initial vocational training. This training is provided under the terms of working in the public service sector. Our vocational training courses are also suitable for interested persons with a migration background if good German language skills (at least B2) are demonstrated.
Vocational training contracts are subject to the collective coverage of the Collective Agreement for Trainees of the Länder under the Vocational Training Act (TVA-L BBiG) and stipulates a three-month probationary period.
Trainees receive 30 days of paid leave per year (pro rata in the first and final year).
The monthly training remuneration (gross) is currently set as following (last updated 05/2024):
1st year | €1,086.82 € |
---|---|
2nd year | €1,140.96 € |
3rd year | €1,190.61 € |
4th year | €1,259.51 € |
Trainees have the option to receive payments to their savings schemes from their employer (employers currently grant €6.65/month) by submitting to them a contract that allows for such a savings scheme.
Trainees who pass the final examination at the end of training on their first attempt receive a graduation bonus of €400 (gross).
