At the interface of art and science: Call for applications for the Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden 2025
In the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden – a joint project of the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) and THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION – a six-month artist in residence at the interface of art and science is being advertised for the coming year, which is based at the university's Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections.
Since 2020, the following artists have been nominated for the internationally renowned residency at the University of Excellence: Lena von Goedeke, Rosa Barba, Esmeralda Conde Ruiz, Anton Ginzburg and Christian Kosmas Mayer.
The six-month residency at the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden, which is endowed with 3,000 euros net/month, offers committed and internationally active artists or artist groups from the fields of media art, conceptual art, performance and others the unique opportunity to work on the central theme of ‘Data↔Worlds. Socio-technical and Cultural Syntheses of New Realities’.
The artists have the opportunity to work with a cooperative community of researchers in the context of the Schaufler Kolleg@TU Dresden and to draw on the resources of the University of Excellence and our cooperation partners for artistic and creative productions. Production costs, a solo exhibition and an artist book are part of the Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden portfolio.
Further information on the application procedure and the key points of the residency can be found on the website of the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden. Deadline is December 1, 2024.
