Commerzbank Awards 2024 presented at a ceremony
The Dr. Walter Seipp Prize of the Commerzbank Foundation and the dissertation prizes of the Commerzbank Cultural Foundation Dresden are awarded at TU Dresden in recognition of outstanding dissertations by young scientists from all faculties and scientific institutions of TU Dresden .

The Commerzbank Foundation honors an outstanding dissertation with the Dr. Walter Seipp Prize. The prize money amounts to 4,000 euros. This year, Liliya Mukhametzyanova, Ph.D., from the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine was honored for her dissertation on "Increasing the utility of evolved site-specific recombinases for genome editing". Two dissertation prizes with prize money of 1,000 euros each will also be awarded by Commerzbank's Dresden Cultural Foundation. The 2024 prize winners are:

Dr. Wolfgang Büschel from the Faculty of Computer Science with his dissertation "Spatial Interaction for Immersive Mixed-Reality Visualizations"(further information) and

Preisträger Dr. Felix Schilk (Mitte), Alice Neumann (Commerzbank AG), Kanzler Dipl.-Ök. Jan Gerken
Dr. Felix Schilk from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science. His dissertation was dedicated to the topic "Die neurechte Erzählgemeinschaft. A sociology of conservative crisis narratives".
Thanks to the commitment of Commerzbank, 80 outstanding young scientists at TU Dresden have now been honored: 52 winners of the Commerzbank Dissertation Prize and 28 Dr. Walter Seipp Prize winners. An overview of all previous award winners is available here.
