"For Dresden, for Saxony – for cosmopolitanism, humanity and joint dialogue"
Dear colleagues, dear students,
the eyes of the world are on Dresden – and it is up to us, what
the world will see. Where we stand and how many we are, this
image of Dresden will go around the world. The events of the
past couple of weeks have already considerably damaged
Dresden's and Saxony's reputation well beyond the German
borders.
On Saturday, 10 January 2015, everyone of us can decide on the
image of Dresden that is ought to last. The Lord Mayor of
Dresden Helma Orosz and the Prime Minister of the Free State of
Saxony Stanislaw Tillich call all of us who seek to set a
strong and lasting example "For Dresden, for Saxony – for
cosmopolitanism, humanity and joint dialogue" to meet at 3 pm
at the Frauenkirche.
The Rectorial Board as well as the Studentenrat of TU Dresden
will be there – and we hope to see as many members of our
university as possible.
Kind regards,
on behalf of the members of TUD's Rectorial Board and
Studentenrat
Yours
