Scientist from Dresden is Member of the new DFG Research Group for Stem Cell Research
A research group including scientists from Munich, Freiburg,
Heidelberg and Dresden, funded by the German Research
Foundation (DFG), will be advancing the study of the
hematopoietic stem cells environment. The aim is a better
understanding of the immediate environment of hematopoietic
stem cells in the marrow in order to optimize the treatment of
diseases of the blood and lymphatic system. Dr. Claudia Waskow
of the DFG Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden –
Cluster of Excellence at the TU Dresden (CRTD) is involved in
this research association. For the present, the DFG is funding
the group with 2.5 million Euros for three years.
