Commitment to queer people: Events at TUD on the occasion of the IDAHOBIT on May 17
TUD Dresden University of Technology has been taking part in the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) since 2022. This day is celebrated every year on May 17 to raise awareness of discrimination and violence against queer people.
This year, interested parties can take part in the following events at TUD:
Queer Science Panel (May 16, 2025, 1 pm to 2:50 pm, hybrid):

This panel provides a space for exchange on queer research in various disciplines, from literature to legal framework conditions to diversity-sensitive transportation concepts. Taster course WenDo for queers (May 16, 2025, 5 pm to 8 pm):

A course that teaches self-assertion strategies and options for action in conflictual situations. The focus is on solidarity and strengthening self-confidence. Perception exercises, striking techniques and the development of an inner attitude are covered. Registration at .
