Sophisticated artwork and prickly succulents: Spring exhibition at the Botanical Garden
On March 9 and 10, sophisticated artwork mingles with prickly succulents in the Botanical Garden's Desert Plant House. The artist Peter Richter from Pirna exhibits a selection of ink drawings, which he has created over several decades in his hometown and the surrounding area. These include city squares, streets and distinctive buildings such as the Dresden Frauenkirche as well as detailed landscapes lovingly captured in pencil.
The charity exhibition is organized by the Friends of the Botanical Garden. The exhibition is open on both days from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The entrance fee (EUR 1 per person) will be donated to TU Dresden’s Botanical Garden at Stübelallee.
Nature is reawakening in full force after the winter. The first harbingers of spring have already opened their flowers – some woody plants as well as bulbous plants that spread their carpets of color over the ground. In good weather, you can even observe the first butterflies and wild bees of the year. The outdoor area and the two rainforest houses can also be visited free of charge during the exhibition weekend.
