TUD Rector Prof. Ursula Staudinger and her counterpart Prof. Jaroslav Koutský from the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP) renewed the existing cooperation agreements on July 11.
This week TUD Dresden University of Technology welcomed two partners from our neighbors in Czechia. On 11 July, they hosted their counterparts from the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP) with Rector Prof. Jaroslav Koutský and the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Prof. Pavel Raška, at TUD. At both meetings, the participants renewed cooperation agreements with a view to intensifying their long-standing collaborations in the future. “Our partnerships with TU Liberec and Jan Evangelista Purkyně University are crucial to the exchange of research and teaching between our institutions in the border triangle area. This includes the Central European Campus Nisa/Neisse with the TU Liberec, which enables students from both countries to learn interculturally and has resulted in 50 graduates since its establishment in 2020,” said Ursula Staudinger. “We are also looking forward to new joint projects with the UJEP, which could be funded as part of the DAAD Eastern Partnerships,” said the TUD Rector.
Prof. Ronald Tetzlaff, Chief Officer Technology Transfer and Internationalization, added: “With the renewal of both cooperation agreements, we would also like to invite other members of our university to participate in this dynamic partnership and promote the spirit of cooperation across borders.”
Looking to the future, the delegations discussed future opportunities to strengthen their cross-border cooperation in research and teaching.
