Fall University 2026: Exploring the Humanities and Social Sciences
At the Fall University, participants gain an authentic insight into degree programs in the humanities, social sciences, and Business Administration and Economics, and have the opportunity to speak to current students.
During the fall break, TUD Dresden University of Technology invites prospective students aged 16 and older to explore the humanities, social sciences, and Business Administration and Economics. The Fall University helps high school students decide on a degree program that aligns with their interests and future goals. The events will take place from October 12 to 15, 2026, and are free of charge.
In addition to a campus day featuring a full-day program focused on the humanities and social sciences, there are many other workshops, such as those on choosing a study program and career path or on specific fields of study (including economics and teacher education). Some events also offer the option to participate online.
"The Fall University appeals both to those who want to get an overview and are still undecided, as well as to those who are already interested in very specific degree programs," says Franziska Klinkewitz, director of the Fall University from the Central Student Information and Counseling Service. "Participants put together their own schedule. There’s definitely plenty of time left over to explore the city of Dresden on your own and simply enjoy your break!"
