Explore STEM degree programs and discover exciting career opportunities: Registration opens for the 2025 summer semester
Spend a whole week experiencing student life at TUD Dresden University of Technology: At the Summer University, schoolchildren who are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) have the opportunity to visit TUD's institutes, research facilities and labs. In conversations with researchers, our participants can learn more about the university's STEM degree programs and current research projects. Visits to companies also provide insights into potential, future career paths.
In addition, the schoolchildren can speak with university students and learn more about student financing, student housing, and libraries. There are also evening events where participants can get to know each other and discover Dresden.
“At the Summer University, schoolchildren have a fantastic opportunity to check out the STEM subjects and see if they are right for them,” says Antonia Zacharias-Weihs, Head of the Summer University. “Our participants gain an overview of relevant degree programs and career prospects. Participants can also reflect on their own ideas and expectations regarding their choice of degree program, helping them to make a better-informed decision.”
The year 2025 will be our 28th Summer University and it is organized by TUD’s Central Student Information and Counseling Service. Since 1998, more than 3,000 prospective students from Germany and abroad have participated in the Summer University.
The participation fee is EUR 65, and registration is now open. Registration takes place online and is open until June 15, 2025.
