A new semester featuring AI and diversity: Registration opens for the Dresden Senior Academy
The vacuum cleaner that glides through the living room as if by magic, the language assistant that translates for you while you're on vacation, or the invisible co-pilot that ensures greater safety while driving: Artificial intelligence is becoming more and more a part of our everyday lives – including for senior citizens. Understanding this world and learning to benefit from it is one of the educational focuses of the Dresden Senior Academy (DSA) in the 2025 summer semester. Enrollment begins on March 24, 2025.
Lectures and seminars will cover topics such as the disappearance of churches in Dresden, the genius of Carl Friedrich Gauss, and the subject of nanoelectronics. A total of 270 events will give citizens the opportunity to keep their minds active or to get involved in an interest group. In addition, the program for the summer semester features numerous tours and city walks, including a visit to the Gönnsdorf Observatory, the Radeberg Carriage Factory, or the Reinhardtsgrimma Mushroom Museum. Educational trips offer the opportunity to get to know the Pömmelte Woodhenge, or to follow in the footsteps of famous artists in Prague and Vienna.
Registration for the events of the Dresden Senior Academy is open from March 24 to 31, weekdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, in the south wing of Deutsches Hygiene-Museum. You can pre-register on the DSA website: www.tu-dresden.de/senior
Starting on April 1, registration will be open every Tuesday through Thursday during the DSA's opening hours between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon.
