Prof. Markus Schubert - Synthetic Fuels: A Promise for Future Mobility?
"Synthetic Fuels: A Promise for Future Mobility? A Chemical Engineering Perspective"
At the University-Wide Inaugural Lecture on June 15, 2023, Prof. Markus Schubert will be speaking about the sustainability and efficiency of synthetic fuels such as e-fuel.
Prof. Markus Schubert obtained his doctorate in engineering in Dresden and has held the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering at the Institute of Process Engineering and Environmental Technology since 2022. As an expert in chemical reactors, he researches multiphase reactors with a view to making their internal processes more efficient and resource-saving. The reaction plants Schubert specializes in are used for especially energy-intensive processes such as the production of synthetic fuels.
Markus Schubert was employed at the DRESDEN-concept partner Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), and has completed a one-year research stay at the Université Laval in Québec, Canada. In addition to an ERC Starting Grant as an early-career researcher, Schubert has also received the HZDR Technology and Innovation Award. Most recently, Schubert led the Fluid Processing Technology research group at the HZDR’s Institute of Fluid Dynamics.
The university-wide inaugural lecture “Synthetic Fuels: A Promise for Future Mobility? A Chemical Engineering Perspective” by Prof. Markus Schuebrt will take place:
June 15, 2023
4:40 pm – 6:10 pm (6th double period)
Schönfeld Lecture Hall, Barkhausenbau Building I90, Georg-Schumann-Straße 13
The lecture and subsequent discussion will be held in English.
Afterwards, there will be time for an informal get-together.
