Queens of Structure
Projects and positions of female civil engineers
28.04. - 25.05.2022, in front of the lecture hall center (HSZ) of the TU Dresden
Who knows that the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, The Shard skyscraper and the London Eye in London were planned and executed by women in a leading position?
The exhibition invites you to discover fourteen female actors in civil engineering with their projects and their self-image for the profession. They present themselves with selected works that reveal the wide-ranging fields of activity and topics of their working world and the challenges they face, and provide insights into their experiences in interviews.
The exhibition will take place in the open air in front of the lecture hall center (HSZ) of the TU Dresden.
We cordially invite you to the exhibition opening on April 28 at 4 pm.
Queens of Structure Dresden is a cooperative project with the BMBF-funded research project Vision2028 (FKZ 01FP21011), which is being worked on by the Chair of Building Process Engineering at the TU Dresden under the direction of Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Jehle and coordinated by Natalia Bienkowski. The aim of Vision2028 is to identify and make visible innovative female civil engineers in Germany since the year 1928.
More information about the project can be found on the project presentation page.
