2023 Day of Teaching: Inspiration, discussion and best practice on contemporary teaching strategies
An exhibition brimming with inspiration for you, useful teaching hacks from various disciplines, and 14 motivating workshops with ideas you can incorporate into your teaching await participants from all Schools of TU Dresden at the Day of Teaching on November 17.
The Day of Teaching was developed to highlight the value of teaching and the outstanding examples of excellent teaching and teaching support at TUD. “We are looking forward to strengthening the dialogue between students and staff during the individual sessions and to giving many stakeholders the opportunity to present their examples of teaching and teaching support structures,” says Prof. Michael Kobel, Vice-Rector Academic Affairs.
Between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, the Schönfeld Lecture Hall and various seminar rooms as well as the foyers in the Barkhausen Building will provide ample space for this event. Visit the program page for more information about each of the events taking place at the 2023 Day of Teaching.
In addition to the 30-minute sessions, some of which will be held in English, enjoy a coffee break in the foyer of the Barkhausen Building for additional inspiration. Furthermore, the Day of Teaching will host the second Dialogue Forum of the sTUDies 3.0 teaching strategy, where we will discuss the proposals for “strengthening research-oriented teaching,” “accessibility for Open Educational Resources,” and “interdisciplinarity – a discussion among lecturers.”
The focus of the day will be on all stakeholders who are actively involved in the development of teaching at TU Dresden. The Day of Teaching is intended to serve as a platform for dialogue and intends to present formats and ideas to enhance and develop new teaching-learning concepts.
