Academics in exile: “Poser pour la liberté / Standing for freedom” photo exhibition in TUD’s Auditorium Center
From April 4 until May 27, 2022, TU Dresden’s Auditorium Center (Bergstraße 64) is hosting an exhibition of photographs by the French artist Pierre-Jérôme Adjedj on academics in exile. The exhibition “Poser pour la liberté / Standing for freedom” is the result of the RESTRICA (visions of current and past forced scientific exiles) photography project, launched in 2018 as collaboration between researcher Pascale Laborier and the Berlin-based French photographer, Pierre-Jérôme Adjedj. Over a period of three years, they created 51 portraits of researchers and academics in exile. Fifteen of these can be seen at the exhibition, which explores the topic of exile from four thematic approaches.
