Senior Academy starts up again
Participants can enroll for the 2018/19 winter semester at Dresden Senior Academy (DSA) from Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the DSA office in the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon or online. The program will be available from September 12, and will once again include a wide range of topics. For example, Prof. Dieter B. Herrmann will be asking the question, “Are we alone in space?” There will also be lectures on medicine and keeping healthy with experts from the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital and other partners. Saxony’s building culture and monument preservation, the future of energy and what’s next, and nitrates in groundwater are just some of the other topics. A commemoration of February 13, 1945, will take place as part of the Dresden, eine Stadt in Deutschland (“Dresden, a city in Germany”) lecture.
