Student Lifecycle Management (SLM)

The Unit SLM Coordination supports the stakeholders in Student Lifecycle Management at TU Dresden. The student lifecycle encompasses all processes along the student lifecycle, starting with prospective students and ending with alumni work. The Unit's responsibilities follow a study-program-related starting point, so the focus is on issues relating to study program development and implementation.

Against this background, the main task of the Unit SLM Coordination is to design the interfaces between process groups in cooperation with other organizational units, define legally compliant standard processes, map these in the IT system landscape and support the applications used.

Accordingly, the Unit is divided into three teams: Processes, Legal Services and Technology. The range of tasks extends from consulting and service for the Schools, Faculties and Central Academic Units as the sponsors of the study programs to participation in quality management (QM) for studies and teaching as well as process responsibility for study program development, examination management and study program management to IT support for all SLM stakeholders.
