Unit Processes and Organizational Management supports the Extended University Executive Board in implementing TU Dresden’s strategic goals as a learning organization and modern employer. The goal is to strengthen the position of the organization and its members, equipping them to handle dynamic change in the university environment, the progressive digitalization of the working world and transformations in the academic system.
Against this background, the Unit is particularly involved in developing the administrative and service structures as well as entrenching sustainable, process-based administrative and service-oriented mindsets at TU Dresden.
Tasks
- Needs-based process management consultation for the Extended University Executive Board and members of TU Dresden
- Maintenance of the process landscape
- Documentation and analysis of process mapping and descriptions to safeguard existing expertise and for further use within the framework of internal knowledge management measures
- Accompaniment of process management projects and development of alternatives for process optimization
- Central provision of methods and tools such as manuals, checklists and modeling boxes
- Courses on process management within TU Dresden’s administration
- Evaluation and development of concepts, methods and tools for continuous improvement
