The Center for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI) Cluster of Excellence researches how people and machines can share knowledge and skills in real time - for greater participation, resilience and technological sovereignty. CeTI combines interdisciplinary research with concrete applications and brings future technology to society, education and industry.

A global race is on to develop quantum technologies. Materials with extraordinary properties play a key role in this. The Cluster of Excellence Complexity, Topology and Dynamics in Quantum Matter (ctd.qmat) conducts research on these materials, together with Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.

The Physics of Life (PoL) Cluster of Excellence views life from a new perspective. The multidisciplinary team is exploring the importance of physical laws for growth and structure formation in organisms, as well as for the dynamic organization of molecules, cells and tissues.

The Cluster of Excellence Climate-Neutral and Resource-Efficient Construction (CARE) jointly run by TUD and RWTH Aachen University aims to use climate-friendly building materials, construction principles and production technologies to achieve the goal of sustainable construction in every aspect.

TUD’s Responsible Electronics in the Climate Change Era (REC²) Cluster of Excellence is developing the electronics of the future: new material platforms, component concepts and integrated systems with which responsible electronics can be realized in an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable way.
