This idea from the TUD environmental initiative TUUWI is a subproject of the Campus design master plan. The number of trees on campus has been drastically reduced over the past years due to various construction measures and the necessary legal obligations to implement traffic safety measures. Replacement and compensatory planting has not always benefited the campus.
In collaboration with the TUD environmental group, the Saxon Real Estate and Construction Management (Staatsbetrieb Sächsisches Immobilien- und Baumanagement – SIB) and the City of Dresden, we have been planting adopted trees on campus since spring 2018.
A certificate of donation can be issued in the amount of 500 or 1,000 euros. The TU Dresden Foundation manages the donations. You are welcome to make suggestions pertaining to the location or type of tree and we will discuss these possibilities with you.
Since 2018, 30 trees have already been planted as part of this project.
