TUD | The Collaborative University
inventive. transformative. engaged.
TUD is diverse and international, excellent in research, innovative in teaching, and socially engaged. Our claim stands at the center of this: Creating transformative innovation together – expanding the boundaries of knowledge and thus making real change possible. This mindset defines our actions and the values we live by.
The success of TUD is owed to the principle of collaboration. We firmly believe that progress is only really achieved when we work together across faculties, disciplines and organizations, which in turn promotes talented individuals that think outside the box. We welcome diversity and new perspectives, as this is indispensable for new insights and discoveries. In Dresden, we call this our "spirit." This is brought to life in a unique scientific ecosystem based on cooperation.
You can see how this is reflected in our research, our teaching, and our actions in the examples mentioned below. These values are intertwined with our work: when we collaborate to bring about innovations, engage with innovative ideas that benefit society, and help shape social transformation through excellent research.
