Family festival

In September 2024 the inner courtyard of the Fritz Foerster Building was filled with beaming faces and cheerful laughter - the TUD Family Festival attracted numerous families, students and employees to the campus in fantastic weather. Around 500 parents, children and interested parties came together to spend an unforgettable afternoon in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere, making contacts and exchanging ideas.

A colorful program full of music, entertainment, games and movement ensured that everyone really got their money's worth. There was hands-on science for the scientists of tomorrow with the CeTI robot dogs, for example. Musically, the band "Zugabe" encouraged everyone to sing and dance along with a program of children's songs. The hands-on circus "Chaos" made the children's eyes light up, while the TUD's children's and youth dance studio created an exuberant atmosphere with a rousing dance show.

Another highlight was the TU Dresden's in-house fire department: when do you ever have the opportunity to explore a real fire engine from the inside or test your marksmanship when spraying a target?

The Dresden University Sports Center was also involved and offered sporting action with mini table tennis tables and a special foot gymnastics offer.

The varied festival was rounded off by information stands from the Unit Diversity Management and Studentenwerk Dresden.
