Family festival

A celebration for everyone who loves family.

TU Dresden cordially invites you to the family festival again this year. Whether young or old, with children, friends, grandparents or family of choice - a colorful afternoon awaits all generations and family types!

What you can expect:

Entertainment & live program

  • Join-in concert with the band "Zugabe"

  • Dance show by the Children's and Youth Dance Studio of TUD e. V.
    (16:45 to 17:15):     The Children's and Youth Dance Studio of TU Dresden e.V. has stood for the joy of movement, creative expression and dancing together for over 45 years. In their performance, they present a colorful selection of choreographies that reflect the diversity and fun of dancing. Let yourself be carried away by the energy and enthusiasm of the dancers or take the opportunity to dance along to the last dance yourself!

  • Gaming Lounge Cat Q
  • Join in with Quarks
  • Magician Pascal Dalchau (16:00 - 18:00): With humorous table magic I mingle with the guests and inspire them.

  • Face painting & craft stations for young and old

Discover & join in

  • Historical campus tour for children and adults - exciting insights into the history of the TUD

    • Children's campus tour (15:45 - 16:30)

      On the tour (about two kilometers) especially for children (6 to 12 years) we discover animal traces on the TU Dresden campus: sculptures, murals and reliefs show eagles, bears, fish and even magical creatures. Together we will explore the animals and their stories.

    • Historical campus tour for adults (start at 18:00 and 18:30, half an hour each)

      The historical campus tour invites you to discover the TU Dresden building ensemble from a new perspective. The focus is on the original construction planning and the diverse, sometimes changing uses of the buildings over the course of the university's history.

  • Discover fire engines & target spraying with the company fire department

  • Information stands from SG 9.3 Diversity Management and Studentenwerk Dresden, among others

Culinary delights

  • Delicious sweet and savory snacks for the whole family

Who is the festival for?

For everyone!
All associate members of TU Dresden, their families, friends and interested parties are invited. We understand family in all its many forms and look forward to an afternoon together!
