For what purpose will personal data be processed?
The personal data provided will be processed exclusively for the preparation, realization and follow-up of the event and, if applicable, for documentation purposes as well as for public relations activities. These are due in particular to the settlement of accounts with the funding body.

What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
Participation in the event is entirely voluntary. If you decide to participate, your personal data will be processed pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e) GDPR (performance of a task) in conjunction with § 5 para. 2 no. 11 and no. 12 SächsHSFG (duties of universities) and § 3 SächDSDG (permissibility of processing personal data) as well as Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest / public relations).
Which personal data will be processed?
The data processed includes last name, first name, email address, affiliation to the group of employees or students, incl. assignment to the Schools and structural units.
How long is personal data processed/stored and will it be published?
Personal data will be deleted at the latest after the conclusion of the event and after proof has been provided to the funding body, unless there are legal reasons to the contrary.
Personal data is not transferred to third parties. This does not apply to image and sound recordings. These will be published as described above. A list of participants will be created for internal purposes only and will not be made available to the participants of the event.
Which are the general rights of data subjects?
- Voluntariness and revocation according to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR
The submission of personal data is voluntary. Consent to the processing of personal data may be revoked at any time pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. The personal data of the person in question will no longer be processed. - Right of access to personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects shall have the right to obtain at any time information on the data processed relating to their person and the possible recipients of such data. They are entitled to a reply within one month of submitting the request to the responsible party for data processing. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 GDPR)
Data subjects may at any time request TU Dresden to rectify or erase their personal data or to restrict processing. - Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Data subjects may request that the responsible party send them their personal data in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, they can request the direct transfer of their personal data to a different responsible party, insofar as this is possible. - Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)
