Service features of the AG SBS
The technical and service oriented offer of the Working Group Services Disabilities and Studies covers a broad spectrum. Due to its decades of experience, the AGSBS is one of the leading university transmission service points in Germany for accessible documents.
Creation of accessible documents and media
Our core competence lies in the provision of barrier-free media for students and employees of the TU Dresden. This offer primarily includes the transfer of various teaching materials for the course of study such as lecture slides or textbooks. The focus is on the citation of the material necessary for scientific work as well as a uniform presentation of our barrier-free documents and media. Fundamental barriers such as visual representations or structural deficits are addressed in our transmission process. Further information on this topic can be found on our website on the creation of accessible documents.
Loan of media and technology
Through its longstanding work on barrier-free document transmission in conjunction with research on inclusion, the working group offers a large collection of digital and barrier-free materials for loan. This offer is primarily aimed at students of the Technische Universität Dresden. However, these barrier-free documents can also be acquired via interlibrary loan. In addition, the AGSBS has a pool of various technical equipment that can be borrowed on site. Please contact the AGSBS team on this topic if you have any questions about the offer or lending.
Teaching and workplace system (Room 1063, APB)
The teaching and workstation system (LAS for short) of the AG Services Behinderung und Studium is provided in the Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau near the offices of the employees. Room 1063 is specially adapted to the needs of those students who, due to difficult conditions, cannot study in conventional classrooms at the university, the library or at home. The LAS not only has the necessary technology, but also offers a rest room for students supervised by the AGSBS. In addition, exams can be taken here in consultation and cooperation with the lecturers. Click here for more information.
