TUD Family Festival 2025: Fun, games and science for everyone
Beaming faces and a lively campus: around 500 guests young and old celebrated the second TUD Family Festival in the courtyard of the Fritz Foerster Building on 11 September - organized by the Unit Diversity Management.
Whether robot dog SPOT, quantum computer Quarks or gaming lounge "Cat Q " - science was brought to life in a playful way. The band "Zugabe", the circus "Chaos" and the TUD's children's and youth dance studio ensured a good atmosphere.
There was no shortage of exercise either: the University Sports Center invited visitors to join in and the fire department invited them to try their hand at target spraying - including a look inside the fire engine.
A special highlight: the campus tours. Children explored animal tracks on the grounds, while adults gained exciting insights into the history and architecture of TU Dresden.
The afternoon ended on a colorful note with a clothes swap, craft station, wheel of fortune and information stands. "We are very happy about the successful family festival - the great response shows how important such events are for the cohesion and visibility of families on campus. It was great to see how employees, students and their families filled everyday life at TUD with life, laughter and curiosity," says Franziska Schneider, Family Friendliness Coordinator. A special thank you goes to all supporters - and to the REWE Team Challenge, whose prize money to the TUD made this day possible.
