World Day of Social Justice: breaking down barriers together
February 20 is the International Day of Social Justice - a day that draws attention to existing inequalities and calls for their reduction. One important aspect of social justice is the opportunity to participate in events on an equal footing.
Accessibility means more than ramps and elevators; it also includes access to information, e.g. through written interpretation, sign language interpretation or accessible documents. Diversity Management offers advice and financial support to ensure that events at TU Dresden are as accessible as possible.
Budget for more accessibility
Event organizers at TU Dresden can easily apply for a budget to reduce barriers. This can be used for the following measures, for example:
✔ Written interpreting
✔ Sign language interpreting
✔ Mobile ramps and other mobility aids
Where to apply?
The budget for barrier-free events can be applied for informally at Diversity Management - where you can also get individual advice and further information.
