Hidden Figures (Film screening)
To mark International Women's Day on 8 March, Diversity Management at TU Dresden and the Women@DDc Network are showing the film biography Hidden Figures.
The film shows the previously untold and incredible story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn and Mary Jackson. A passionate tribute to three outstanding African-American women working at NASA in the early 1960s and at the forefront of one of the most important events in recent history. The brilliant mathematicians were part of the team that enabled the first US astronaut John Glenn to orbit the Earth. A breathtaking achievement that gives the American nation new self-confidence, redefines the space race and shakes up the world. In the process, the visionary trio fights to overcome gender and racial boundaries and is an inspiration for future generations to hold on to their big dreams.
The film will be shown in the original language (English) with subtitles.
After the film, the organisers look forward to a joint exchange and networking at the cinema bar.
We look forward to welcoming you to this event!
