Diversity TU goVielfalt TU go: Mind the Gap – KI, Macht und Mitgestaltung
The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence is impacting our lives, learning, and work – including at universities. But who is shaping these technologies, and whose perspectives are missing?
The so-called AI Gender Gap reveals: Women and marginalized groups are underrepresented in the development, research, and use of AI. Structural inequalities are reflected in datasets, algorithms, and decisions – with consequences for participation, power, and future opportunities.
In her keynote talk, Sarah Müller-Sägebrecht (We explain AI) will address:
-
The structural causes underlying the AI Gender Gap
-
How inequality manifests in digital everyday life – e.g., in hiring processes, educational tools, or automated decisions
-
What actions individuals can take within the university context
-
What a confident and discrimination-sensitive approach to AI can look like
Who is it for?
This talk is aimed at anyone interested in fair digitalization, participation, and co-creation – especially in the context of education and higher learning.
Language: German (interaction possible in English)
