TUD engagiert
The Units 9.1 Campus Life and 9.2 University and Society helped with work on a meadow orchard on their project day.
As the largest employer in Dresden, TUD Dresden bears a social responsibility for the city of Dresden and the state of Saxony. TUD takes this responsibility seriously and for this reason makes it easier for all employees to engage in charitable activities by participating in the "TUD engagiert" project:
Each organizational unit is entitled to one day per calendar year for team-building activities. In order to make it easier for TUD-teams to use this day for charitable activities, the "TUD engagiert" project started in fall 2023. The volunteer agency ehrensache.jetzt of the community foundation Dresden and Directorate 9 University Culture organize volunteer assignments at non-profit activities for interested teams.
The volunteer assignments can be very different. Possible are, for example, helping with renovations in social projects, active outdoors for nature conservation projects, helping sorting donations and supporting projects with the team's skills.
