Providing User Identity
The ZIH offers Single-Sign-On Portal (Shibboleth) which can also be used by external services for user authentification.
- Authentification of the user through the ZIH user management
- transmission of attributes from the user directory (in standard cases only an anonymous ID and affiliation to the TU Dresden)
Options
- Activation of the transmission of additional attributes (for example email address, user ID, degree program etc.)
- Linking DFN-AAI to additional authentification of external users
Authorization
- Within the TU Dresden: all IT service operators
- External: only after consultation
Application
- Fill in the form and send to
- The service to be linked must be able to communicate with Shibboleth
- The release of additional attributes takes place through the office for information security (Stabstelle Informationssicherheit)
- The configuration and operation of the Shibboleth Service Provider takes place through the operator of the service (not the ZIH)

Provisioning Time
As soon as all required authorizations are present and the technival requirements have been fulfilled, it is usually made available within 2 working days.
