Call for applications : Diversity-Sensitive Teaching Award 2025

Audience in a lecture hall
In 2025, TUD will once again award the Best Practice Diversity-Sensitive Teaching Award. The prize is awarded to teachers and teaching concepts that deal with diversity in an outstanding way in line with TUD's 2030 Diversity Strategy. The award not only recognizes the commitment to diverse and inclusive university teaching, but also underlines the high relevance of diversity-sensitive approaches in the context of excellent teaching.
Why the teaching award is so important
The aim of the award is to sensitize students to diversity in everyday university and social life. At the same time, the award is intended to highlight the importance of diversity in teaching. Key award criteria include: inclusive, appreciative and transparent communication and interaction as well as diverse and barrier-free teaching methods.
A total of 10,000 euros in prize money is available, funded as part of the Excellence Strategy of the Federal and State governments.
Who can apply - and how?
Proposals can be submitted until May 27, 2025, this year's German Diversity Day. All students, employees and university initiatives and groups at TUD are eligible to submit proposals.
