Fresh energy for the EPOS project: starting signal for innovative learning opportunities
The summer vacations are over, the vacation period is drawing to a close - and with renewed energy we are embarking on an exciting project: "EPOS - Escape the Ordinary". In this project, which is funded by the European Social Fund, innovative learning opportunities are being developed and tested outside of the traditional course structure.
The focus is on (digital) Educational Escape Rooms (EER). This innovative concept of game-based collaborative learning gives students and teachers the opportunity to work together on complex tasks in a fun way and develop a wide range of skills in the process. Whether teamwork, creative problem-solving or the use of digital tools - the Educational Escape Rooms combine learning content with a motivating gaming experience. They therefore offer a modern approach to sustainable skills development.
EPOS pursues three objectives in terms of content:
-
Supporting students in building interdisciplinary digital skills.
-
Making biographies of female scientists visible.
-
Sustainable anchoring of the EER approach in (university) teaching.
We look forward to testing the first prototypes in the coming months and working with students and lecturers to create new ways of learning.
