New Perspectives: Menstrual Cycle Knowledge and Humor in Everyday Work Life
The “Vielfalt to go@TUD” series invites you to two lectures in September
What do menstrual health and humor have in common? Both can help make your everyday work life more mindful, more confident, and perhaps even easier.
On September 11 , Julia Neuen, CEO of peaches, will take participants on a journey into the world of menstrual cycles, hormones, and menopause. In her talk titled“Menstrual Cycles & Work-Life Balance: Knowledge That Works” she'll explain in an accessible way what lies behind these physical changes—and why this knowledge can make a difference at work, too. This event is supported by Techniker Krankenkasse.
On September 25, things will take a humorous turn: Anne Röhle from the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine and the “Carl Gustav Carus” University Hospital will show how humor can help overcome speechlessness and address difficult situations related to sexism. Which forms of humor work best, and how? When do they create distance, and when do they help keep the conversation going? The talk also invites participants to share their own questions and experiences.
This event also serves as a preview for the workshop “Combating Sexism with Humor” on November 25, 2026.
Two events, two exciting topics—and plenty of ideas to take home.
