Our events offer you the opportunity to look beyond your studies and prepare yourself in a targeted manner for the teaching profession. Discover exciting current topics such as pedagogy of diversity, soft skills, digital skills or support services for the first state examination.

Why take part?

You will develop valuable additional skills, gain practical insights and benefit from the exchange with experienced experts. You will also receive helpful tips on topics such as stays abroad or the preparatory service.

Ring event first state examination and legal clerkship

Exchange sessions on the topics of the first state examination and legal clerkship with lecturers, students and trainee teachers.

STUDY SMART

The study success project STUDY SMART offers a variety of workshop and further education formats on different topics: Academic Writing, Digital Skills, Future Skills and Female Empowerment. You can find the complete catalog of offers for the summer semester 2026 at OPAL.

Some offers are also explicitly tailored to student teachers: e.g. block course on self-reflection in teacher training:"From Mr. Müller to Mrs. Schnabelstedt - Who do I want to be?".

InnovatED

At InnovatED, student teachers receive targeted manner support in the preparation of their state examination thesis, e.g. through the development of an exposé in summer semester 2026 and participation in the research colloquium from winter semester 2026/27. The "School meets Science" round table event offers valuable inspiration for research questions. The project also provides information about career paths in the teaching profession, professional alternatives and doctoral studies.
