Mobility in Cities – SrV
Thank you for your interest in the research project "Mobility in Cities – SrV".
The household travel survey (HTS) Mobility in Cities, founded in 1972 as a "System of Representative Travel Surveys (SrV)", serves to determine mobility parameters of the urban resident population. On the one hand, it regularly updates and analyzes important data for municipal transport planning on the basis of a uniform survey design. On the other hand, cross-city trends in traffic development and their boundary conditions can be researched using large samples.
The field work period of SrV 2023 started in January 2023. By the beginning of 2024, more than 280,000 people had been surveyed.
The Chair of Mobility System Planning is responsible for the coordination and scientific management of the survey. After a Europe-wide invitation to tender, the TU Dresden commissioned the Leipzig-based institute O.trend GmbH to conduct the SrV 2023 survey.
On March 25th and 26th of 2025 we held the SrV 2023 final conference. The presentation of the key findings on mobility in cities based on the SrV 2023 as well as other presentations shown at the SrV final conference can be downloaded here.
