The pulse of mobility in cities
The pulse of mobility varies from city to city. The complex interplay of mobility demand and transport supply is shaped in many ways by dynamic societal changes. This was also demonstrated by the twelfth iteration of our scientific time-series study “Mobility in Cities – SrV” in 2023. Established at TUD Dresden University of Technology as “System of Representative Travel Surveys” (in German: "System repräsentativer Verkehrsbefragungen", SrV), the project has been analyzing mobility on a regular basis for more than 50 years.
The future demand for high-quality, harmonized mobility data has increased further, not least due to the revision of the TEN-T regulation.
The kickoff for SrV 2028 took place on May 4, 2026. The presentation slides shown during the event are available for download.
