Overview
We pursue the goal of establishing an interdisciplinary and cross-university strategy for virtual and hybrid teaching at the TU Dresden. Curricular units are developed, tested and evaluated in different project teams and departments. On the following pages we introduce ourselves and our ideas at a glance.
The sub-projects
Funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education (StIL) for the period from August 2021 to July 2024, virTUos is the framework for these projects
- DigitalHerrnhut - part of the digital humanities, investigates the virtualization of educational offerings in collaborative and international contexts, with the aim of improving digital competencies and collaborative skills.
- Experimental Space Digital Media Literacy ExDiMed - Specializing in applied linguistics, develops innovative hybrid teaching and learning formats to promote digital media literacy with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and practice transfer.
- Hybrid interactive self-learning, training and assessment courses HybParc - Focuses on the creation of hybrid self-learning, training and assessment courses. It integrates digital and real-world learning experiences to enhance practical training and assessment formats.
- Internships Hybrid - Aims to digitize and enhance practical training experiences through hybrid formats to ensure that practical skills can be effectively taught and assessed in both virtual and physical environments.
- Student-centered digital learning and teaching sTUDents - Focuses on digital didactics and supports learning process support and competence development for hybrid learning and teaching. It emphasizes the role of students as both learners and teachers.
- TelePresence - Utilizes telepresence technologies to enable remote participation in hands-on sessions, allowing students to participate in interactive learning experiences from different locations.
- Tutoring Hybrid - Focuses on peer learning and develops hybrid learning scenarios for tutorials, exercises and practicals. It is designed to promote collaborative learning and teaching practices.
- Anchoring digital, collaborative learning in international teaching at the TUD DikoLint - A project in the field of Business Administration and Economics that focuses on digital, collaborative learning in international contexts. It seeks to create virtual exchange opportunities to enhance cross-border educational experiences.
