Kinetic Architectural Systems and SFB 1244 with Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maria Matheou – Presentation and Diskussion with the Institute of Building Construction

As part of the collaboration with the ILEK, University of Stuttgart, Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maria Matheou presented in front of the Institut für Baukonstruktion the potential of adaptive envelopes and structures for innovative applications in architectural design of tomorrow.

With reference to the world's first adaptive high-rise building, D1244, as part of SFB 1244, we discussed the potential and innovation of adaptive systems in the façade to optimize the energy, material efficiency and carbon footprint of the structure and building envelope. In the process, many interfaces between the Institute for Building Construction and the ILEK opened up. We are looking forward to a close co-operation.
