Usability
Mandatory module in the main course of study of the diploma program in civil engineering
Prior knowledge
The competencies to be acquired in the modules of the basic studies (BIW1-01 to BIW1-11) are assumed.
Course content
- Material steel, products for structural steel engineering
- Construction and component design (basics: beams, columns, bracing)
- Introduction to the stability cases flexural buckling and flexural torsional buckling
- Connection technique (bolted and welded connections)
Accompanying the exercise, document tasks are to be worked on. The recognition of the documents is a prerequisite for the examination. The independent processing of the assignments based on the exercises is an important part of the preparation for the examination.
