Sustainability Working Group Construction of TU Dresden e.V.
The Nachhaltigkeits-AG Bauwesen der TU Dresden e.V. is an association (since 2024) and a university group of the TU Dresden, which was founded in May 2021. Members are students of all semesters and Research Associates of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Through various formats such as professorial get-togethers, workshops, excursions and a focus on helping to shape teaching, we are committed to more sustainable teaching at TU Dresden. For example, we won the GFF Teaching Award 2022 for the implementation of sustainable teaching.

What does sustainability mean in the construction industry?
Almost 40% of global greenhouse emissions are said to be caused by the construction and operation of buildings. Civil Engineering in particular must therefore come up with new ideas when it comes to preserving our environment. As a university group, we are therefore dedicated to construction methods and building materials with a view to reusability and resource conservation.
