Exploration visit to Arizona State University
From 10 to 13 December 2024, Dr. André Lindner (Executive Manager for the School of Civil and Environmental Sciences and International Affairs Advisor) and Maike Heitkamp-Mai (International Affairs Advisor, School of Engineering Sciences) visited Arizona State University (ASU). This first exploratory visit served to develop bilateral contacts and projects between TU Dresden and ASU.
In addition, the visit offered the opportunity to strengthen Arizona State University's role as a Global Partner of the EUTOPIA Alliance. In this context, formats such as "Connected Communities" or working groups on topics such as sustainable development can be used to involve further partners and promote the internationalization of TU Dresden.
The agenda for the visit included numerous discussions with ASU representatives, primarily from the Fulton Schools of Engineering and the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory. The focus was on topics such as sustainable urban development, innovative teaching methods, smart materials and smart cities.
This visit marked an important step towards deepening collaboration with top global universities and laid the foundation for future cooperation - bilaterally and as part of the EUTOPIA Alliance.
