The N5 Symposium is the conference for young people in East Germany who want to scrutinise East German narratives, break down stereotypes and promote positive stories from the region. The aim is to strengthen East German perspectives through networking and cooperation and to establish them in leadership positions as well as in the overall German discourse.

This year's event will focus on the promotion of democracy under the motto ‘Democratic. Bold. East’. Various formats such as panel discussions, workshops and inspiring keynotes will be used to promote active dialogue and networking between participants and experts from various fields. The programme will also be supplemented by interactive formats such as coffee chats and company speed dating.

The N5 Symposium 2024 is dedicated to the key challenges facing today's generation of students and will cover a wide range of topics: from business and STEM to culture and society. We offer multifaceted insights dedicated to highly topical issues such as healthcare infrastructure, educational equity and innovative approaches to housing construction. In addition, workshops on current issues such as fake news, conflict management and diversity are offered to further strengthen participants' practical skills.
