Objectives
In Sub-Saharan Africa climate change effects cause
poverty, land use conflicts and migration.
Network partners from Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan,
Tanzania, Uganda and Germany will jointly:
- Investigate climate change effects, identify local adaptation strategies, and reveal innovative technologies for climate change adaptation;
- Share knowledge within African and German higher learning and research institutions, and develop capacity in teaching and research;
- Elaborate a common research project
Outcomes are fixed on an academic, scientific and developmental level. Special emphasis is put on teaching, research and training networks which facilitate the cooperation between local farmers, scientists and students. They serve as platforms for knowledge creation and interchange by following and adaptive and collaboration strategy.
