Our goal is to bring together alumni from around the world to strengthen interdisciplinary and holistic approaches to complex environmental and development issues. Master's students and former doctoral students share insights into their daily work as scientists and practitioners. They share experiences from different landscapes and ecosystems in their region, including terrestrial forests and wetlands, coastal ecosystems such as mangrove forests, marine ecosystems, and agroecological systems.

Alumni seminars and workshops
Over the past decades, international postgraduate training programmes in the field of environment and natural resources have developed substantially in the educational hub of Dresden, now consisting of a few hundred alumni, doctoral students and participants and short training courses. The alumni network project Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), aims at bringing together alumni from all over the world for strengthening interdisciplinary and holistic approaches on complex environment and development policy issues. The project is carried out by TU Dresden and UNU-Flores together with partners in Laos and Uganda.
AGEP
The Association of Postgraduate Programmes with Special Relevance to Developing Countries (AGEP) facilitates connections among universities, (potential) students, and various stakeholders from the realms of science, politics, administration, business, and civil society. Through these collaborations and other initiatives, AGEP enhances the visibility and attractiveness of German educational offerings on the global stage.
