WELCOME TO OUR INSTITUTE
The Institute of Waste Management and Circular Economy at the TUD Dresden University of Technology in Pirna-Copitz has been conducting research and teaching since 1995. It has a large analytical laboratory, large capacities for reactors and test stands, the largest fluidized bed plant in Germany for thermal waste treatment experiments (VERENA) and many options for processing and treating waste and secondary raw materials.
A comprehensive spectrum of environment-related research is covered, dealing with scientific, technical, economic and ecological issues relating to waste and recycling management and groundwater and soil remediation (#contaminated sites). Interdisciplinary aspects are also incorporated into the students' training.
