The IAK at the first abonocare® conference

The first abonocare® conference on nutrient recovery from organic residues took place in Leipzig on March 5 and 6.

From topics such as the recovery of phosphorus and waste gas purification with nutrient recovery from fermentation residues to requirements from the perspective of fertilizer product sales, the specialist presentations covered a broad spectrum of current concepts, processes and challenges in the recycling of organic residues.

Prof. Christina Dornack contributed to an exciting and insightful event with her presentation on municipal and industrial sources for nutrient recycling.

Markus Reuther and Hannah Zeumer from IAK are researching a modified incineration of sewage sludge to produce high-quality fertilizer precursors as part of the abonocare® growth core.
