Mission Statement
The “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences is the university center of excellence for sustainable mobility.
Our interdisciplinary research covers the entire scope of transportation sciences; and our faculty leads in the development of safe, efficient, and sustainable transport systems based on technical, economic, ecological, and social criteria.
A quality, research-based and praxis-relevant education fosters highly competent scholars, cultivates interest in transportation sciences, and promotes social responsibility.
Our interdisciplinary research and teaching maintains networks within TU Dresden and the DRESDEN-concept alliance as well as with national and international partners from both academia and industry, thus ensuring the effective application of research into society.
Vision Statement
By the year 2030, the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in research and teaching.
The excellence of our research is reflected through high-quality, influential publications as well as through third-party funds, in particular from the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft).
The close connection between application-oriented and foundational research is actively promoted through cooperation with industrial and business communities. This research develops innovative concepts and methods for addressing practical problems and effectively applying their results. Fully equipped and interconnected laboratory facilities provide the basis for successful research.
