RailDresden 2025: International Conference on Railway Operations at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences

The 11th International Conference on Railway Operations Modelling and Analysis invites rail experts to the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences from April 1 to 4.

Sharing knowledge, creating synergies: The International Conference on Railway Operations Modelling and Analysis (ICROMA) brings together academics and industry professionals in the field of railway operations and planning.

The latest scientific research findings on efficient, sustainable and safe freight and passenger transport will be presented and discussed in a variety of keynotes, panels and poster sessions. Topics include the safety of rail operations, passenger flow, multimodal transport, timetabling, digital operation simulations, disruption management and infrastructure design. The program also features excursions, including to DB InfraGO AG Leipzig, the new Dresden - Prague high speed line and ALSTOM Germany in Bautzen. A highlight of the conference is the conference dinner in the “Historischer Güterboden” cultural monument in Radebeul.

The International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR) is organizing the internationally renowned conference for the 11th time. For the first time, TU Dresden and the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences are hosting the event and, together with Rail.S, are inviting experts from the field of railway operations to the state capital of Dresden.

Prof. Nikola Bešinović, Head of the Chair of Railway Operations and one of the conference hosts, is looking forward to RailDresden 2025 with great anticipation: “RailDresden 2025 is a unique opportunity for connecting rail experts from all over the world, sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas.
